An event such as the Merbein Community Rodeo costs thousands of dollars to hold.
The cost of providing the stock and infrastructure must be paid up front from the cash reserves held from the previous years event.
Whilst a proportion of the costs are received from entrance fees, sponsorships and grants from local businesses and the Mildura Rural City Council are critical to the funding of this event.
It is reasonable to say that if the Rodeo is a failure one year due to circumstances beyond our control such as wet weather – there could be insufficient funds to hold it the following year.
Local businesses and organisations are invited to be sponsors for the Merbein Community Rodeo.
For their donation they will be listed in the attractive printed programme (closing date late September), have their business promoted over the public address system during the evening, and also the opportunity to display an advertising banner within the rodeo grounds.
